What do you think they had to do to make this documentary? What work was put into creating it?
2. What are some ingredients or elements that you noticed were used in this documentary?
For example, music, colors, images, text.
3. What was your favorite part?
4. If you were to make this, what would you do differently?
5. How is your response to documentaries different than other your response to a book or newspaper?

They first had to find actors. Also they would have to show the actors how to reanact what will really happen to a student who gets bullied in his school.

The elements used in the documentary is that most of the movie was black & white also they had music and inside and outside shots of the school that the student went to.

My favorite part is when the movie goes to color and first I thought that the movie was just black & white but then I noticed that they used those color to show something in the movie and not for the movie. So I really enjoy that Becuase the color is part of the movie also.

If i was the maker of the documentary I Will probably interview a real person who was bullied and put the interview at the end of the movie that was put to show the reenactment.

Its diffrent because with a documentary it really shows who the person is but when you listen to it in the news etc. They put somtimes there own little facts.jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-56749889519431462492009-03-26T07:18:00.000-07:002009-03-26T07:22:18.070-07:00Short story introduction

leaving, I woke up and the sound of the alarm clock wakes me up. the time makes me jump up from my bed and get ready, it was 6:00 am. Today's my moving day, i walk downstairs and the moving trucks were outside standing like beast with engines. I think in my head once i move I will have my friend chase waiting for me in his apartment. So me feeling like I'm in a new world dissolves as I think. I look straight ahead and i see central park, it looks beautiful in the morning the i turn my head to the left and the time Warner center reflects from the sun. The streets are filled with people even in the morning, that's what you get from the "city that never sleeps". I take a deep breath and look at Manhattan for the last time, I'm not upset because I'm just so tired.

I get in the car and I tell the driver to go. he begins to drive and the buildings get smaller and smaller. We enter the FDR and i see cars and cars ididn't have time to think i had to start working on my role in the movie. My last role was in titanic and this movie i have to do better, some of my friends are waiting for my amazing role in the movie, so once i enter the Bronx and go up the apartment everything will be sorted out. i sleep for just ten minutes and wake up entering a bridge in the top it has a bronze plate that says ''third ave bridge" finally i say to myself were here i can go back to sleep.

As we enter the mainland I see buildings people and cars. the same thing as Manhattan nothing changed. ten minutes later were in The Hub it looks great with people and twelve story buildingsjesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-27091229119586122052009-02-09T07:25:00.000-08:002009-04-27T07:32:51.699-07:00Red Cross
the poem theta I am reading is called "red cross" the mood of this poem is sorrow because in the poem this girl meets a women called ms.fisher who sleeps on the steps of the red cross. and she meets the women and gives her a doller. The reason i picked that mood is because in the poem people make fun of ms.fisher and she began to cry. And the girl helps her and keeps on asking who is she, the other reason i picked this mood is because its about a homless person who needs help and a girl trys to help her, sorrow is a good mood for this poem.

jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-86638133060043999992009-02-06T06:17:00.000-08:002009-02-06T06:39:21.576-08:00poetry responce bronx masqueradeIn the story Bronx masquerade i can infer that Chankara dose not want to be like her sister who has been abused by her own boyfriend. In the story Chankara gets smacked by her boyfriend then she writes a poem called "Bruised love". The poem speaks about how Chankara found her sister bruised by her boyfriend and she says that she will never be that way and in that situation. The way that she feels in this poem is angry, because she doesn't like the way her sister is being treated and also she is angry because she knows that her boyfriend might not really love her and treat her good like hes supposed to treat her. The meaning of this poem is of a girl who doesn't want her sister or her to be treated in that way also the meaning of the poem is about bravery because in the story when she go smacked by her boyfriend she told him that she will never be that way and told him to get out. I think that she named the poem "bruised love" because her sister loves her boyfriend that hits her and she loves him but she gets hurt so its bruised love.jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-50764251625322916202009-01-26T11:53:00.000-08:002009-01-29T07:23:21.403-08:00readers response 3
Omnibeasts
pg 1- 60

The book I was reading was a poem book. Why is this significant to the poem?

A: I think that "Praise Song for the Day" means that a praise song was sang when Obama won the election and also the praise son of the day is the song that was sang on the day of Obama inauguration . also the praise song was sang for the people who made Obama win by fighting for civil rights.

Q: How did the poem make you feel?

A : this poem made me feel happy that people who fought for so many years actually had a chance to have a African American president even if i disagreed on his policy I'm still very excited for the people who fought for civil rights.

Q: Were there any words or phrases you especially liked? Why do you think the poet chose these words or phrases for the inaugural poem?

A: my favorite quote is "praise song for walking forward in the light" the reason why is because it shows that the people that fought for civil rights won the fight. Its also my favorite quote because people who died for a African American president can now rest in peace.

Q: What poetic devices do you notice (for example: alliteration, 3 Rs, metaphor, simile, etc.)?

A: she uses symbol in the poem for example she says we use a road to freedom as americans.

Q: How does this poem relate to Obama's life and the inauguration? What is the theme or lesson?

A: everytime obama does somthing in his life as president is historic. Because just having the racial barrier broken. the theme of the peom relates to obama so much becuase now thers not a limit for an american to do what they want to do.
jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-26567559357681402652008-12-22T06:58:00.000-08:002008-12-22T07:37:42.015-08:00Themes in To Kill a MockingbirdWhat are some major themes in TKM?
How does the author reveal the theme?
What lesson do you think the characters will learn?
What lesson does Harper Lee want YOU to learn by the end of the book?

some major themes that they have in the story tkm is that atticus has courage. the reason he has courage is because he is defending a black man and he is defending him in the time were lots of rascist people lived. i think hes very brave becuase he might be risking his life another major theme is determination because he is determined to risk his life to save another person. also he is determind to win his case, the aurhtor revels his theme in the story by using very powerful quotes. the lesson that the characters will learn is that atticus will learn that not all people will want to defend him during the trial. the lesson that harper lee will want me to learn is that treat people equally also not to judge a book by its cover for example if you see another person with diffrent skin color you should not treat them bad. that s what i think harper lee want us to learn during the end of the movie.

jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-16299370546249578402008-12-15T06:32:00.000-08:002008-12-15T06:54:23.882-08:00"Test Prep Action Plan"my goals for test prep is to go to after school scan and study for the test. Also what I will also do is do lots of acuity test prep at home and at school. What I will do to make sure to reach my goal is to not be tardy to school also not go to school when I'm sick but not for other reasons like just wanting to stay. The things I will do to get a 3 on the ela exam also is test myself and ask family members to help me also by testing me in ela questions. What I also will do is come to ela class also because ms.johns always gives us test prep lessons like for example in the morning she will make us answer questions that were on the ela test last year. That's very helpful because its like your doing the state exam but we get to review our questions. The kind of questions that they have in the exam are character questions main idea questions. these questions are the questions that I have alittle trouble with. But I can improve these questions by reviewing theme all the time we do test for practice.jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-74770670036458370162008-12-11T06:35:00.000-08:002008-12-11T06:57:36.638-08:00"To My Parents: What I've Learned so far in ELA."dear, my parents

this year in Ela has been fun and interesting my goals this years is to read twice as many books this years then last year. last years i read harry potter books but my biggest accomplishment is reading the twilight books. my favorite unit this year has been the compare and contrast unit the reason why is because it is about the election this year and that was the topic i was most interested in these past few months. the way that we use technology this year is fun because its fun in a learning way not in a child fun way. we get our assiments on our email that the teacher make for us and we have to do it. the reason that i like the technology this year is because they trust us and i always feel independent when i don't have no one wacthing over me i get to do my work and the teacher trust me. my goals for the rest of the year is to read the whole twilight book series also to keep on making bigger and better essays. for example last year i had seven whole paragraphs in my essay. my goal for the rest of the year is to make at least fifteen paragraphs for any essay that i have to do the reason these are my goals are because next years i will be going to highschool and that how much paragraphs i have to do or even more then that so this is getting me ready for next year. reading and writing is important for the future because mostly famouse or important people have to read and write for the future for example presidents of the united states had to read and write to improve there reading and writing skills. because they need the writing skills to write speeches. and the reading skills to read laws that he has to sign. i also think that reading and writing is important for the future because what will you do without those skills, that's why i am preparing myself for the future.
jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-23819091712534389322008-11-24T11:46:00.000-08:002008-11-25T09:40:40.092-08:00Readers Response 2TWILIGHT
PAGES: 1 - 13

The story Twilight the author uses hands grabbing an apple as the cover of the book and the title of the story is called Twilight. I'm a john McCain supporter and wanted him to be the president. but yesterday i seen that Barack Obama is really loved by the people. the reason why i think this is the most historic election is that Barack Obama is African American and no African Americans have been elected as presidents of the united states. but from yesterdays results you can see lots of people don't care about race they care about the big issues these years. i think john McCain should have won but Barack Obama might do a pretty good job as president of the united states of America. he has good results for issues like health care. and taxes. yesterday i was surprised with Pennsylvania and Virginia also Florida and Ohio. those states were meant to be red states. and Florida was the state that made gorge bush in the past election win. that state made him the president of the united states.jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3564519158455386969.post-35973304749071370462008-10-08T08:42:00.000-07:002008-10-17T06:55:35.701-07:00readers response 1''the prisoner of the ant people''

r.a. In chapter two it tells me If I chose to go with a search party or no. I said yes after that I go to a planet that was going to be destroyed. then I get attacked by giant ants. when I wake up I'm in a bed and ants surrounding me. in that chapter it asked me If I want to panic or to just stay calm. I chose to panic and try to escape. before I read what was going to happen I predicted that I might escaped and I did. then in chapter three they asked If I want to find my Search party I chose to look for them. when chose that I search for them half of them were dead already and two were injured. It asked to find some tools for aid in the planet or to just pick them up and take them to the ship. I chose to pick one of the injured people up. The reason I chose this is it will take more time to look for tools and I could die by getting caught. After that I got in the spaceship and it broke down. They asked should I go out and get tools or stay? That's what I'm up to in the story in Chapter 5.
jesushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13101342346597897983noreply@blogger.com0
